Our Church School
Central to the caring and nurturing ethos we aim to provide, are our strong links to the local parish churches, which underpin and support a warm and spiritual environment for all members of the school community.
Regular services are held in St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church. These are led by the Spiritual Team and other pupils from the school.
We have a daily act of Christian worship, led by a member of the teaching staff, local clergy or pupils. Collective worship is an important part of our school day and has great value to the whole community.
Friday Celebratory worship is particularly special because we celebrate the achievements of all our community, both in and out of school.
All members of the school community are given opportunities to pray and reflect throughout the day.
Our Spiritual Team are elected by members of their class each year. They meet regularly to discuss and review RE, Collective Worship, values and the ethos of our Church School.
On Ash Wednesday each year, our children are invited to say sorry and receive an ash cross on their foreheads.
We have strong links to our parish Baptist Church. Members of the church lead termly worship and the Spiritual Team visited the church to compare worship there to worship at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church.
Mothering Sunday Gifts
‘So these three things continue for ever: faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love.’
1 Corinthians 13:13
All of the children in the school made special seeded planters to say thank you to their mums this year.
