Temple Ewell

There is a friendly Parents, Teachers and Friends Association. Membership of the “FRIENDS” is open to all parents having children in the school.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for all your support for the Valentines Discos this week.

I just wanted to clarify the process for booking your child for PTFA events now and the reasoning behind it.

The PTFA have a website dedicated to the booking of events such as this and the next one will be for the Easter Fayre.

We have to set a cut-off date for booking due to the following reasons;

  • Food purchasing for the events – the PTFA buy in advance to make sure there is enough for the children attending.
  • Register – we need to have an accurate record of children on site and parents’ contact details in the event of an emergency.
  • GDPR – we often in the past had an envelope with nothing more than a child’s name that was handed in on the day to a volunteer. The information needs to be retained and destroyed correctly.
  • Cash – the school is a cashless site for both the School and PTFA. For audit purposes for both we are unable to accept cash.

The PTFA continue to run many events throughout the school year for the benefit of the children and to raise much needed funds for the school. Thank you to all our parents and families who give up so much of their own time to organise and run these events.

Thank you to all our families for their continued support of the PTFA and school.

We very much value the contribution the FRIENDS make to the life of the School and hope that you will support this association which proves vital in purchasing equipment and subsidising other activities.
