A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. At Temple Ewell we provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect. We aim to ensure that all our pupils develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities, are physically active for sustained periods of time, engage in competitive sports and activities and lead healthy, active lives.

‘PE at Temple Ewell School has been amazing. It has not only let me take part in lots of competitions, but has also been good for my mental health. When I didn’t believe in myself, Mr L, did’
(Jess, Year 6)
‘I love PE, we not only have our lessons twice a week, but get lots of opportunities to go to different schools for events. We win a lot of trophies but the best thing is about playing with our friends and doing or best.’
(Oscar HW, Year 5)
‘Each week during football club, we try to win a special trophy. One week I won it and felt really proud of myself.’
(Liberty, Year 1)
